Job Description:
At Saab in Cranston, Rhode Island, you have the opportunity to join a team that will manufacture underwater products for DoD and international customers.
Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Production Test Technician to assist in the standup of new production capability in our Cranston, Rhode Island facility.
You'll support manufacturing efforts by performing the set-up, assembly, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Utilize SW/HW test principals, techniques, and company standards.
Assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
Support rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
Understand manufacturing operations concepts and assist in application of concepts to resolve complex issues and meet company objectives.
Support assembly and final testing of a various undersea vehicles.
Provide input to process improvement efforts.
Compensation Range: $26.49- $31.78/hr
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of relevant experience
Experience may include knowledge of tools, software and other technologies.
Ability to decipher required data from assembly drawing and schematics.
Ability to locate tool, meters and documentation.
Ability to assist troubleshooting of electro/mechanical nonconformances.
Ability to solder electronic devices and assemblies.
Ability to assign root cause to routing nonconforming assemblies and may implement corrective action or fix.
LabVIEW experience
